Used chandelier for breakfast nook or dining area. Due to the size it probably best that your ceiling height is at a minimum of 8ft. It does hang from a chain that can be adjusted. Unfortunately I forgot to measure the length of the main body shown, but it is at least 24 inches but I don’t believe it is more than 36 inches in length
